Usikan Rebab (2012)
Synopsis
The tale tells the frustration and conflict faced by Mak Nab, a former mak yong artiste, whose desire to impart her knowledge of the traditional dance theatre faces a dead-end with her three daughters who have different aspirations in life. The story revolves around the divergence of religion, tradition and individualism in the current societal framework, whereby the traditional performing art of mak yong suffers a decline due to the focusing of priorities in other sectors of life.
Cerita tentang seorang primadona mak yong yang hidup memperjuangkan darah seninya. Seorang ibu yang kecewa dengan masyarakat dan tertekan dengan perbuatan anak-anaknya sendiri yang tidak mahu menjadi pewaris keseniannya. Malah menganggap mak yong itu kolot, permainan orang kampung, tidak bermoral, lebih teruk lagi menganggap mak yong itu syirik dan bercanggah dengan agama.
