（二）挖沟舞——傍晚、太阳的余晖映照着还在园坵里劳动除草、挖沟的卡兰。
（三）养鸡舞——天刚破晓，拉妮即起身在屋前喂养鸡鸭。她养鸡鸭是为了帮补家用。
（四）育婴舞——在昏暗的烛光下，拉妮因为没有钱医治孩子的病，只好哄孩子入睡。
（五）外景舞——电影「母亲的心」正在这里拍摄外景。这一场戏需要一个不会哭的小孩，而找来拍戏的小孩是会哭的，所以拍摄不顺利，气坏了导演，只得下令暂停拍摄。
（六）洗衣舞——拉妮在井边，边洗衣服担忧孩子的病况，正想到入神，被来到胶园散闷的电影导演遇上。导演发现了不会哭的病中孩子，以五十块钱的代价借去拍戏。
（七）摄影舞蹈——拉妮为了赚取五十块钱来为孩子医病，只得忍痛让孩子吃下安眠药后报道拍摄场地。影片果然拍摄顺利。但不幸的是，当拉妮抱回孩子时，却发现孩子已经死了。
（八）双人舞——拉妮发现孩子死后，当场傻呆在那里，不会说也不会哭。想起孩子来到世上，没过一次温饱，也没有玩过一个玩具，心里非常难过，孩子逗留在世上的日子是那么的短暂，那是为什么？威慑呢？……
（尾声）——卡兰工作受了伤，拉妮为了生活，只得在路边摆卖捡来的蒜头和大葱，无意中发现了电影「母亲的心」的海报，勾起了拉妮创痛的心……

睡意朦胧的小鹅，在牧童鞭子群赶下回到队伍里。“哈！我的鞭子真管用。”小牧童得意地举起鞭子，但小鹅们讨厌牧童的鞭子，生气地东飞西跑。小牧童挥动鞭子赶来赶去，小鹅们向更远处飞走了。小牧童失望地扔掉鞭子伤心地哭了起来。不一会儿，牧童忽然想起了小鹅们爱听音乐，他赶忙拿出挂在腰间的小竹笛，吹起了动听的曲子，小鹅们回过头来听着，他们在阵阵召唤的笛声中纷纷飞回牧童身边。这一切使小牧童惊喜而又惭愧。笛声更响亮，更优美了，小鹅们很快排起整齐的队伍，紧紧跟随着小牧童，在美丽的湖边。
