Shi Zhi Wu Dance Show 诗之舞 舞展 (1988)

This dance depicts the awaiting and distressful life of concubines inside the place.

Jian Jia is a willow type plants found beside the river banks in China. This dance is taken from a poem which shows the emotional contradiction that exist in human relationship.

Taken from a poem, Lee Pai the poet danced with the moon and his shadow.

The love of dance has changed my entire self. With desperation I have tried to leave her without succeed. Its Martha Graham has once said, “Dance has chosen me and I have no choice.”

我曾以一位朝圣者的心态来接近“您”
也曾捧着“您”在手心，走向荆途 迈向理想
屡次我真想舍“您”而去
无奈“您”竟让我如此割舍不下
这一生注定我得负着“您”这无型的十字架走着 走着

Of two and three, or a crowd of hundreds, step by step our ancestors made their way through the ancient path with sweat and tears.

或三三两两，或成群结队，
有声声的呐喊  也有默默耕耘，
无声的呼吸中夹着杂着   我好累！
这条路不好走    竟有不断而来的拓荒者。

Derived from Chinese legend, this is a dance that tells the story of a conqueror who saved his people from suffering and disaster.

那是白茫茫的一片大水，灾民没吃喝，无家可归，颠沛颠沛流离。所幸在上古的这次洪水中，一股浩然正气孕育了一个新咋命——大禹带领群民，平定九州，三回家门而不人，完成冶理洪水大业。

This dance is a dramatic narrative taken from the traditional Chinese love tragedy “The Butterfly Lovers”. It tells the dying of Shan Po, the faith of Ying Tai’s love, and becoming of butterflies after death.
