During a performance at a concert to protest the government’s fuel hike, vocalist Alak of pioneering punk band, Carburetor Dung, pulled down his pants, revealing his boxer shorts as he sang ‘Mari Nyanyi Jilat’, apparently as a mocking reference to the sodomy charges against Anwar Ibrahim. Many in the audience were reportedly upset, and the organisers had to remove the singer from the stage for his own safety.
