What can the audience expect?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Five Alone<\/em> represents five solo dance pieces by five different\nchoreographers. They&#8217;ve infused their own experiences and understanding of life\ninto each of these individual pieces. The audience will be treated to an\nexperience that explores the imagination and heightens the senses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How did\nyou guys come up with each piece for the performance?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We developed the dances individually, but managed to\nweave all the different threads together through several meetings and &#8212; of\ncourse &#8212; rehearsals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You&#8217;re\nworking with Steve Goh, Eden Lim, Low Shee Hoe and Judimar Hernandez on this.\nWhat&#8217;s it like working with such a team?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We learned a lot from each other. It was totally crazy\nwhile we were brainstorming the concept, though!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Any diva&#8217;s\namong the group?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No, we&#8217;re all pretty much the same, and this whole\nproject was a good chance to interact with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lapar Lab\n&#8212; who came up with that name? Tell us a bit about the group.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Low Shee Hoe and Leng Poh Gee came up with &#8216;LAPAR&#8217;:\n&#8216;local artist performing arts region&#8217;. They are also the founders of the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who&#8217;s the\npractical joker of the lot?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She Hoe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who the\nnoisiest?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She Hoe again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Your own\npiece, &#8216;Wall&#8217;, which premiered at Japan Dance Wave Fukuoka 2006, will be making\nan appearance in <em>Five Alone<\/em>. Tell us\nabout it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It delights me that dance is such a universal\nlanguage, and that body movements can be understood and appreciated by people\nof different countries and cultures. The interpretation may differ of course,\nbut you still manage to create an impact on the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How was\nJapan? What was the whole experience like?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Great! It was a wonderful experience. I got the chance\nto meet and interact with other Asian artists.
