The performance permit was denied by DBKL. Consequently, the play was staged as a private event. A recording of the performance was made with the knowledge of the organisers. However, the following morning, the video was unilaterally discarded by the organisation&#8217;s leadership, for fear that the evidence would incriminate the organisation. This was a controversial decision, made without consultation with the director or cast. During mediation, an apology was made by the organisers.
