Beckett Short 短打貝克特 (2012)
Sinopsis
“Waiting for Godot” is not the only work by Samuel Beckett. Since 1969 after he received the Nobel Prize for literature, Beckett had written quite a number of short plays, sometimes sharp, sometimes irony, sometimes humorous, sometimes heavy. His short plays changed our way of seeing the world. In 2012, theatre director Loh Kok Man together with music composer Ng Chor Guan, multimedia designer Au Sow Yee, and second year students as well as graduates from New Era College Drama and Visuals Department, will attempt to peel off the mysterious faces of Beckett’s short plays. Language of literature, drama, music and multimedia/video will then encounter inside the theatre.
《等待果陀》，是人們對貝克特的既定印象，但它並非貝克特的全部。獲得諾貝爾文文學獎以後，貝克特以時而尖銳諷刺幽默沈重的筆鋒寫下不少短劇，改變了我們想像世界的方式。《短打貝克特》將嘗試剖析人在生命里不同的狀態，傳達生存之荒謬與難處，以簡單的人物、無語或看似無意義的語言中，透過演出，觀眾得以在簡約又不失質量的演出中探討生存的本質。
