Otak Tak Center (2004)
Sinopsis
Otak Tak Center tells the tender, sometimes humorous and always touching story of Vinod and Saloma who are ex-mental patients. Vinod has from bi-polar depression while Saloma is schizophrenic. They develop a friendship and through this relationship, we are privileged into the unknown world of mental disease sufferers. While they battle with their own demons brought on by the diseases, the outside world sees them as different demons. More importantly, Otak Tak Center open our eyes to the human side of mental illness and the painful realities that sufferers have to deal with that, more often than not, have to do with the alienating and judgmental eyes and misconceptions of the ‘normal’ world.
