  1. IMG ARTISTS MOST OUTSTANDING EDUCATIONAL OR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

AWARD

Prize of RM5,000, sponsored by IMG Artists, and Tumasek Pewter Trophy

Joint Statement by IMG Artists and Kakiseni.com:

The IMG Artists Most Outstanding Educational or Community Development Project Award was created for a new and emerging area; with an aim to acknowledge the contribution of individuals and/or groups who use arts and culture in projects designed to educate, provide opportunities, develop, and empower specific target groups. The inaugural winner was the Taman Medan Community Project, by Five Arts Centre and Akshen.

This year, however, despite a wider circulation of details about the Award among community groups, NGOs, arts groups and educational institutions, and an application period of two months, there were insufficient submissions received by the organisers. In order to maintain the value and integrity of the award, which attempts to identify the most outstanding out of a range of community and educational projects, the Award Sponsor, IMG Artists, in discussion with the organiser of the 3rd Annual BOH Cameronian Arts Awards, Kakiseni.com have decided to defer the award to the following year.
